I found a little peek of the Vivetta S/S 2011 collection, and I'm loving the obvious theater, silent film influence. Her clothes always border on the verge of being costumey without going too far. Perfectly cute and perfectly wearable.

I've been of fan of Nicholas Lawn's work for sometime now, but there was something extra special about this early twentieth century inspired editorial that I couldn't post it fast enough! It was shot for Test Magazine and features some really great styling from Lyson Marchessault, along with some really great photo effects from Mr. Lawn.

Such a good song way before Weeds came along.
Look at these vintage dance costumes this girl found at an estate sale back in 2004. I would die if I ever came upon such beautiful pieces!

"I create my collections based on what I experience and what I feel. There are days when I feel like a woman, and others when I feel like a tomboy or a mischievous child. For me, fashion is a way of expressing a full range of emotions." -Eve Gravel
LOVE this line out of Montreal, and love Eve Gravel's view on fashion. The fact that Radiohead's "Weird Fishes" is the second song that plays on her site doesn't hurt either.

I love a good mix of function and fashion. This line is called Spoke and Spool, and it was created by two Sydney cyclists, Alia and Laura, from recycled second hand clothing. I love that there are hidden maps and reflectors all throughout their clothing! These girls thought about it all.

I've lost count of how many times I've watched this video this summer. I've been obsessed with this song in all it's many versions ever since I can remember, but most of all, I love what The Zombies did with it. I plan on using it in a video whenever the time is right.

I just discovered this couple/design team pictured above, and I'm absolutely blown away by their work. They actually do exactly what I do as far as owning an online vintage store and styling really elaborate shoots for their products. They photograph everything themselves, and they make incredible videos too. No joke, they do every bit of what I do with my store except like a million times better. Their killing me with inspiration. I particularly like the following shoot, and a separate video featuring the wife modeling (I'm not sure of her name). I thought it was a really interesting and a well thought out video, and they pick out some really great songs too!
